Re: Rotate MD-11 Released today!
No, they were flying the release version. It's got basic issues like it won't turn left through 360/000 (i.e. if you want to go from 010 -> 350, it will *always* try to turn right). It has wierd CTDs like if you open the windows and then try to close them after starting engines or something similar ...

Re: Rotate MD-11 Released today!
Having watched Mike Bergman (aka Moosestaffa) and 757Spy fly the MD-11, I'd say save your money for now. It has some *MAJOR* issues with it. Until they fix those, it ain't worth the money.

Re: We need to think about MSFS2020
The amount of fixes and improvements to the default airplanes just since release to me shows that Asobo are genuinely interested in delivering a good product. Remember, Microsoft is just the publisher and provider of the data and infrastructure. The whole development was done by Asobo and they're wh...

Re: Soooo, everyone's thoughts?--Initial MSFS2020
Flew into Salmon Lake yesterday (sorry, no pics) to test out the new patch and VATSIM. Problems fixed, so at least that's a good thing. I'm not so critical of the default aircraft. They're better than the FSX or P3D default aircraft, so even though they're not the level of some of the payware sims, ...

Re: Soooo, everyone's thoughts?--Initial MSFS2020
I got into the Beta about 2 weeks before the release, so I didn't really do much except a couple of their designed tests in it, but I am actually pretty happy with a couple of the menu tweaks they made in the release version. I have done a couple of flights in the full release and haven't been reall...

Re: Vatsim pilot clients automatic disconnect
An important note that has apparently been glossed over by many readers is that the clients will not kick you the moment the frames drop below 20 FPS. It will only kick you once they drop down and stay there for a period of time (which isn't clearly stated, but I'm guessing it's somewhere like 10-30...
Re: Advice
Paul, Here's my suggestion - if your Laptop is still running Windows 7, you can certainly upgrade to Windows 10. You won't loose performance. If you search "Free Windows 10 upgrade" online, you should find some links to how to get the free upgrade that Microsoft offered (and didn't really ...

I would strongly suggest the following videos that actually talk about the event and the Q&A sessions. FroogleSim - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fj8h6yibHHc&list=LLyXyuWi67Fvq5FbHXIAtUkA&index=145&t=1s FlightChops- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrJs0jK4a1g&list=LLyXyuWi67Fvq...

Re: Milviz stops FSX Development
Interesting decision. According to the Navigraph survey, over 50% of the simmers use either FSX or FSX-SE. Steve, while you are nominally correct that 50% of the respondents have FSX or FSX-SE, far less indicated that it was their primary sim. Post indicated that either P3Dv4 or X-Plane was. Only a...
