Re: Long range airliner options?

Thanks Bob, I was looking at a scheduled EHAM to YPPH route, I don’t know why but I am trying to finish a Perth hub slam, even though it is not an active hub anymore. But I like flying Western Australia, especially this time of year. I am trying to use the default 747-400 but as modified by Sparky, ...

Long range airliner options?

Hmm, in XP11 I was planning to fly a route from EHAM to YPPH in the 747-400, but it does not seem to have the range, in the weight and balance setting it says it will go for ‘only’ 12 hours or so with pax and cargo. If you fly XP11 do you have a suggested aircraft model for these super long 14 hour+...

Re: Threshold LevelUp Releases 737NG Series

Interesting, it kicked off the autopilot on me a couple of times when I was trying to capture an ILS approach. I am sure it is pilot error, I just have to dig a little deeper into the systems. I think it had something to do with my airspeed and configuration not being exactly what it wanted.

Re: Threshold LevelUp Releases 737NG Series

It seems a little more refined than the Zibo 737, call it Zibo 2.0 I guess. The integrated tablet checklist is nice.
They keep stressing this is an initial release and they plan to iron some things out, but I haven’t seen anything mission critical that is missing or buggy.

Re: Highlights of X-Plane 12

I am most excited for a more holistic weather model. I would like to see a storm front in the horizon, not have different weather load every 20 minutes.

Re: XPilot tutorial

Yes I have an old graphics card and need to update, but getting a newer card is really difficult at the moment.

Re: XPilot tutorial

I had been using Swift but I thought I would give the xPilot client a try. The install was infinitely easier with xPilot than with Swift, much more user friendly. But it was more picky about my sim’s framerates and booted me any time the fps dropped to 19, which it was doing a lot in heavy clouds. I...

Re: FS9 Hub Splash Screen

In re a splash screen, even modifying the web site banner above into an XP splash screen would be cool. In re the scrolling, I think this may help you... In the top right of both the scenery and fleet lists there is a search window. Just type in “plane” and it will limit results to aircraft or scene...

FS9 Hub Splash Screen

I am getting my FS9 back up and running because I want to use a sextant for overwater flights and it is the only sim I currently own with a working sextant gauge. Anyway, going through some of the FS9 scenery files last night I came across and installed this splash file created by WWA843 Ed Bleck, r...
