We continue to monitor the return to service of the 737 MAX. Boeing has yet to announce, publicly, the plans to seek
re certification of the aircraft. WestWind will lift the restriction of flight on the aircraft when the FAA has certified it
again for flight.

Re: Microsoft to release a new Flight Simulator
All I can say is that this appears to have been a lesson learned the hard way for Microsoft. Their getting out of the flight sim business must have really hurt them. It is interesting, but let see if the learned anything in this process. There are allot of details that are left out there in the wood...

Re: FSX FSX_SE and P3D SODE Jetways in GSXv2 and ORBX VECTOR
Just an update... I posted a question to the GSX support forum today regarding the issue with GSXv2 and ORBX and await an answer regarding this issue. GSX has allot of chatter in their forum regarding problems with ORBX. Their seems to be a real large disconnect between the two developers of these p...

Re: FSX FSX_SE and P3D SODE Jetways in GSXv2 and ORBX VECTOR
Unfortunately, disabling GSXv2 looses all the neat stuff done with GSX with support air and other items that GSX put into the jetway rework. GSXv2 allows you to enable or disable the SODE jetway support, where ORBX loads them by default and has no way to disable them that I know of. I have asked if ...

FSX FSX_SE and P3D SODE Jetways in GSXv2 and ORBX VECTOR
There is a problem with SODE Jetways in both FSX and P3D where jetways will appear "floating" in scenery. This problem is identified on the ORBX forum as a cross-configuration of SODE jetways in both addons. If you are experiencing the problem, you must disable SODE Jetways in either the O...

Flight Simulator "DEFAULT" Air Traffic Control
There has been allot of discussion on flight simulators and the Air Traffic Control (ATC) that is provided with them. I wish to try and document the general issues and concerns regarding ATC and how it is implemented in all flight simulation packages. To say the least, new flight simulation enthusia...

Re: Milviz stops FSX Development
I don't know if this is the end of FSX, as it appears that MILVIS is making a productivity decision. They are betting pretty hard on the bet that everyone is jumping into 64 bit simulators at break-neck speed. MilVis stuff is really cool, but they are not big enough to force people off FSX. PMDG, an...

X-Plane 11 Scenery Modification processes and tools
Just an FYI, it looks like the user community for X-Plane is beginning to make some moves in the area of scenery modification. Here is a link to a discussion on editing scenery for X-Plane..... https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/81152-the-x-plane-full-visual-mesh-editor-mesh-remexe/ ...

For those considering FSX_SE as a simulator package, Steam offers a "community" that has allot of information and discussion about the simulator. The steam site allows access to the information so that you can see and evaluate what is available and what the current discussion, concerning t...

Modifying Aircraft Liveries for XPlane
Modification of X-Plane liveries can be accomplished through the use of Photo Shop or GIMP as the texture files are .PNG files. They do not need to be converted from .dds textures for modification with a editing program. According to YouTube videos on the subject, the process for modifying X-Plane a...
