Re: FS 2020 to be released in August
Thanks for the update Fred, I was just fixing to notate this on my post. I made the jump anyway for the full package and will let you guys know how it goes. My laptop with Windows 7 that runs FS2004/FS9 with all the add on aircraft and the like wont last forever and FSX is just too unstable as much ...

Re: X Plane 11 and FMC's
As compared to FS9 and FSX not requiring use of an FMC the older systems are much simpler to use. Set up the from and to airports and decide what altitude you want to fly and the GPS will set you right up using direct, VOR's and several other ways. Using the FMC having to go thru the STAR's, SID's a...

Re: FS 2020 to be released in August
I have mentioned that I have X Plane 11 but do not use is since I have had a tough time getting the buttons and switches set up similar to FS9 and FSX which I have almost 10,000 total flight hours in but even with it as a newer updated flight sim, KCLT my home airport looks really really good on the...

FS 2020 to be released in August
Just saw a video where MS FS2020 will be released August 18 with three packages available starting at $59.99, $89.99 and $119.99. Sadly it appears they will do what some of the other FS are doing by nickle and diming you to get all the airports you currently get with FS2004/FS9 and FSX out of the bo...

X Plane 11 and FMC's
As someone who has had X Plane 11 for awhile now and not figured out how to program all the buttons and the like that FSX does automatically I have not used it. Several of you kind folks have given me some ideas that makes me want to try and now I get to the next problem. I know many of you who are ...

Re: Microsoft Support for Windows 7
Thanks for the info boss. My laptop running Windows 7 and FS9 is my only stable flight platform. Depending on how the 2020 system works and its needs may goose me to find a gaming laptop since I really miss FSX with its better scenery and all that came with it. Thanks again and God bless.
Advice
Am thinking of purchasing this since it does work on Windows 10 and is close enough to FSX, or so I am told that it would be easy for me to transition to. Got a notice on my Windows 7 laptop today that I use to fly using FS9 that Windows 7 support will be ending in January 2020 so I do not know what...

Re: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Pre-Alpha preview
I am looking forward to seeing where this goes. I am stuck flying on FS9 on my laptop with it's degraded scenery and all that goes with it. I do have some better airport add ons with World Airport Scenery but it just is not like FSX. FSX and my Windows 10 computer are mortal enemies and even though ...

Re: Milviz stops FSX Development
I guess I may be one of the last hangers on to hoping FSX would be upgraded to 64 bit to run on my Windows 10 computer since I don't need a chart of which buttons or switches to pull when flying it. I have X Plane 11 and for the life of me cannot get the buttons programmed enough to be able to do wh...

Re: X-Plane 11.30 - Major update
Thanks Bob for the notice. I updated my X Plane 11 over night and it is ready to go. Now to figure out how to line up the keyboard and joystick controls to match FSX. I have worked with if some but may not have the patience to complete it to the point I can fly without looking something up on a shee...
