X-Plane 11 Scenery Modification processes and tools

Post by Mark Kusiak »

Just an FYI, it looks like the user community for X-Plane is beginning to make some moves in the area of scenery modification.

Here is a link to a discussion on editing scenery for X-Plane.....

Thanks for the link Mark. Looks like that discussion is for Mesh only. Too complex for me. Here is a link for the forum pertaining to the Airport Scenery development: primarily the use of WED and Overly Editor: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/f ... ent-forum/
Also, for those looking for updated airports, go to Scenery Gateway. There are hundreds of airport sceneries available here for free:

+1 on gateway...

The gateway scenery rolls into the next release of X-Plane and you can see if a particular airport update is already included in your X-Plane version. If it isn't just download it and put it in the custom scenery directory, if it is then you don't need to download anything ;-)

I go through my custom scenery directory from time to time and remove airports that are already in the current X-Plane version I'm flying. Although I haven't had any conflict issues.
