X-Plane 12 Questions

Post by WWA3293 »

The arrival of X-Plane 12 is just a matter of time. When asked by the audience, the founder of X-Plane, Austin, said that X-Plane 12's release date is about 30 days at Oshkosh (that was July 29).

Just curious, how many of our pilots (both current X-Plane pilots and others) are going to get X-Plane 12 on day 1?

And if you are, would you be willing to fly the default Airbus A330, Citation X, and/or Cirrus SR22, or would you be sticking with the aircraft you have already for XP11 assuming assuming it also works with XP12 (FlightFactor, ToLiss, hopefully the Zibo/LU 737s, FlyJSim, etc.)?

Yes, I plan on getting X-Plane 12 as soon as it becomes available.
Yes and yes I will be looking at the new default aircraft and also bring in what I can from X-Plane 11.

I will get X-Plane 12 right away if it isn't too costly. With inflation running rampant, I'm struggling to keep gas in the car in order to work. I will try out the default aircraft but don't expect they will be of the same quality as my payware.

I wonder if X-Plane 12 has a demo version like all the previous versions. Like John I am planning on holding off getting X-Plane 12, but if there's a demo version there's a chance I may get a start on painting the new default aircraft.

It will probably be after the early access or public beta before the demo is released.
Hint the Early Access or Public Beta is on final according to rumors.

I'll definitely be getting it. I plan to try the early beta release but I will also keep my X-Plane 11 around until 12 is stable enough.

Back in 2016 when Laminar had X-Plane 11 on public beta/early access they had a demo version for that, before actual release. So I wonder if they're going to do it again.
