Re: Long range airliner options?

Yes, the Weight and balance estimate for flying hours is way off. I plugged the 747-400 into the simbrief flight plan I just used for my flight from Dubai to EHAM. Simbrief says it is 6.5 flight hours. Using the same fuel load in the X-Plane calculator I come up with about 4.5 hours. If that flight ...

Re: Long range airliner options?

All of the super long haul flights for the Singapore hub are broken up into two legs. I believe my longest flight is 9 - 10 hours. I have flown 9 hours with the 747-8F. I just completed a 2-leg flight of approximately 6.5 hours each: WSSS > OMDB > EHAM with the 747-8F. Are you flying a scheduled rou...

Re: Threshold LevelUp Releases 737NG Series

I have made quite a few flights these past few weeks with the Threshold Boeing 737NG aircraft and am very pleased with them. Prior to their release I was using their previous 737-900, which was "ok" but had issues. I gave up on the Zibo a long time ago, and the default 737 was pretty bad. ...

Re: Free Metroliner III for X-Plane 11

An update (Version 1.1.0) was just released for this aircraft. Here is the link: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/78450-metroliner-iii-ac-package/ I have made a few flights with this aircraft. It is really nice, especially when you consider it is free. I'm having some issues with the...

Free Metroliner III for X-Plane 11

The X-Plane.org forum download section has a superbly done Fairchild Metroliner III for free. Since we have a Metroliner in our fleet, picking this one up is a no-brainer. I haven't had a chance to fly it yet, but it has 51 reviews with 5-1/2 star ratings. Here is the link: https://forums.x-plane.or...

Re: Threshold LevelUp Releases 737NG Series

It seems a little more refined than the Zibo 737, call it Zibo 2.0 I guess. The integrated tablet checklist is nice. They keep stressing this is an initial release and they plan to iron some things out, but I haven’t seen anything mission critical that is missing or buggy. I gave up on the Zibo a l...
