I installed the Steam Launcher on day one but waited till Thursday evening to launch the game. I believe waiting till things settled a bit was the right move.
I like the career model, but at this time I don't think it is worth the two hundred I spent for the version I got. The default aircraft are just not ready for the serious flight sim pilots. I will quote the A330 driver from YouTube "Designed by Clowns and Supervised by Monkeys". applies to all of the airliners at this time so we will need to wait for third-party developers like we did for 2020. So do not get rid of MSFS 2020 just yet. X-Plane 12 is still my go-to simulator.
Thanks Sean... appreciate your feedback. With the $70 difference between the two, I'm still waffling between Premium Deluxe and Aviator. I'm leaning towards Premium Deluxe with the option to upgrade later.

Well, it is still early but as of now all of the 2024 aircraft appear to be locked out and 2020 liveries will not work in the 2024 version.
What do you mean by the 2024 aircraft are locked out?

Thanks! Hmmm... that's interesting. From what I'm hearing here and from other sources, it sounds like MS wasn't quite ready for launch.

Most of the reviews are not good

but more positive reviews are starting to get posted now that the initial launch disaster is over.
Most developers have pushed back when they expect to have their products ready for 2024

This is in important point, and one that I just can't understand. MS provided DevAlpha access to 3rd party developers, like PMDG, in mid-October. Not only did developers have issues connecting to DevAlpha, but providing access a month before product launch is problematic. It just points to my earlier comment that MS was more concerned about getting the sim out before the holidays than laughing a good quality product. All of this being said, I'm confident that we'll eventually get to where we want to be. Just like MSFS 2020.

At this point, I believe MSFS 2024 will develop into a respectable sim like 2020. But in my opinion, 2020 is the better option.

It will be interesting to see if our FSACARS works with 2024, it should assuming that there is an upgrade available for FSUIPC

I have FSACARS but have not used it since you created WWACARS. Are you talking about WWACARS?
