If you're talking about the blank line that's the startup folder where the executable resides... that's going to change if you downloaded your version through Steam, the Microsoft store or - get this - The xbox app on the PC, which is where I downloaded mine from. My particular start path is here:
C:\XboxGames\Limitless\Content
The difference is that the executable is now NOT under any folder named Microsoft...
Took me a while to find mine there too.
So anyway here's my folder list for the linker; Listed from the top option field to the bottom option field... Hopefully this helps some other people as well.
For the very top field My Addons Folders (Big empty box) Hit the "Add" button and add in the paths to where you will actually put your addons; I put mine in this path:
E:\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\Packages\Community
(This can be anywhere and any path that you want. I tried to keep the basic 2024 community folder structure on a different drive just because I have both 2020 and 2024 installed now)
MSFS 2024 Community Folder: (Where linker will put the links to your addons)
C:\users\<username>\appdata\local\packages\microsoft.limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\localcache\packages\community
Presets folder:
C:\programdata\msfs addons linker\presets\
Choose your FS version:
(Pick "STEAM" or "MS Store" depending on where you downloaded from... OR Do like I had to and put the custom path where your FS executable resides. You do this also if you just forced the application to install into a folder other than the default.
in my case here:
Custom FS Start EXE:
C:\XboxGames\Limitless\Content
Hope That helps you.
P.S. The MS2020 version of the "Christmas in Tahiti Airstrip" works in 2024 also. I'm still trying to get my head around the 2020/24 SDK for airport and scenery mods. My major holdup is that I SUCK at blender and I don't have importable custom WestWind assets to import into the Sim. So I can't really add WestWind signage/hangers/buildings to airports or resort scenery. I'm sure I could get them into the sim if I had them in a usable format for MSFS. ;/ That and my cringy work schedule... LoL
