For those with low to mid-range computer systems, If your video card has less than 8g of ram, You may want to take a look at Aerosoft Sky Tools (for XP10) cloud textures. it is a Free download. I replaced the default1024k (HD) cloud textures with the 512k (SD) cloud textures from Aerosoft and gained 15 Frames Per Second. I now get a solid 30 FPS with only occasional dips into the upper teens coming into high detail airports, and that after bumping the world objects slider up a notch. Before the change, I was getting 5-15 frames with clouds present
My system is an AMD 6300 FX 16g ram and a GTX970 4g ram. please note that the sky tools shader files are not compatible in xp11.
